Why we built it

Uploading personal footage — family videos, meeting recordings, your own clips — to an unknown website just to change its format is more common than it should be. Most online converters send your file to their servers, and you never know where it is stored or when it is deleted. Video files are big, so the upload alone takes ages, and free tiers pile on size caps and queues.

EazyVideo takes the opposite approach. Instead of sending your file to a server, it brings the processing engine to your browser. Your file exists only on your device from start to finish — we never receive, see, or store it. With no upload there is no upload wait either. Processing speed depends on your device, so the tools are optimized for everyday short clips rather than multi-GB movies.

The technology

All video processing runs FFmpeg — the standard open-source engine for audio and video used by broadcasters and streaming services worldwide — compiled to WebAssembly so it runs directly in your browser.

Everything is built on proven open source, and whenever a file allows it the tools automatically pick a remux — swapping the container without re-encoding — so conversions finish in seconds with zero quality loss.

How is it free?

Because no files are processed on servers, running costs stay very low, and the site is supported by the ads on its pages. That is why there is no sign-up, no payment, no usage limit and no watermark.

Who runs it?

EazyVideo is built and run by an independent developer in South Korea — from the team behind the PDF toolset EazyTools, the audio toolset EazyAudio and the image toolset EazyImage. Bug reports and feature suggestions are always welcome.
